Troubleshooting
Frequent tc-contextmenu errors: the menu does not open, an option does not show, /gestioncontexte refused.
#The cursor does not appear
- Check that
tc-contextmenuandtc-uiare started. - The default key is Left Alt (
LMENU). Check in Settings → Key Bindings → FiveM that no other shortcut uses it. - With
Config.OpenMode = 'hold', you must hold the key. - If another script disabled the cursor (
disable(true)), callexports['tc-contextmenu']:disable(false).
#Right-click opens nothing
- There may be no option for that target. With the built-in pack (
Config.Pack.Enabled = true), players, vehicles and objects already have options. - Check
Config.RayDistanceandConfig.DefaultDistance: the target may be too far from your character. - Aim at a specific object rather than empty space: the highlight shows what is targeted.
#My option does not show
| Cause | Check |
|---|---|
| Wrong target type | types / target.types: a ped is not a player |
| Model not listed | models: add the exact name or hash |
| Condition not met | require: job / grade, item, onDuty, inVehicle… |
| Distance | distance (or Config.DefaultDistance) |
| Option disabled | Enabled switch in /gestioncontexte |
| Script not started | Code options disappear when the script stops |
Use Capture a target in /gestioncontexte to fill in the exact type and model automatically.
#/gestioncontexte is refused
See General installation: ACE command for your group, or your identifier in Config.Bridge.Admins, or the permission from Config.ManageAce if you set one.
#A server_export action does nothing
The server re-validates everything from the definition in the database: job, items, ACE, distance and model. If one does not match, the action is refused. Raise Config.ServerDistanceTolerance if distance is the cause.
#An action cannot be created
The type may be disabled in Config.AllowedActionTypes. Set it back to true.
#Vision pack options missing
On Vision, “staff” and “dev” options depend on core permissions (contextmenu, dev, devcontextmenu…). On other frameworks only generic options are offered and admin is checked by the server (ACE / group).
#Performance
The script should cost nothing at idle. Measure with resmon 1 (F8): if tc-contextmenu consumes while the menu is closed, check that no other script calls its exports in a loop.
