Installation
Install tc-forensic: resources, SQL, items, configuration and staff rights.
#1. Copy the resource
Copy tc-forensic into resources.
#2. server.cfg
The framework must start before tc-forensic.
ensure oxmysql
ensure ox_lib
ensure tc-ui
ensure core # or es_extended / qb-core / qbx_core
ensure ox_inventory # recommended
ensure screenshot-basic # optional (camera)
ensure tc-forensic#3. Database
Import sql/install.sql (optional: tables are also created at start-up). See Database.
#4. Create the items
See the Items page. On Vision, items are created automatically at start-up (Config.NewItems).
Items: douille, camera, photo, dossier_photo, prelevement_adn, fiche_empreintes, test_gsr, forensic_kit, gloves, evidence_bag, lampe_uv, sachet_douilles.
#5. Edit shared/config.lua
| Option | To set |
|---|---|
Config.Police.jobs | Police jobs (outside Vision): { 'police', 'sheriff' } |
Config.Evidence.hashSalt | Change it: salt for DNA / fingerprint codes (internal mode) |
Config.Items | Item names in your inventory |
Config.Integrations | Enable or disable tc-logs, screenshot-basic, ox_doorlock, rpemotes |
Config.Evidence.hashSalt = 'change-me' by default. Replace it with a long value unique to your server, before going live: changing this salt later invalidates the codes already generated.
#6. Staff rights
add_ace group.admin command allowOr Config.Bridge.Admins. On Vision: Config.StaffPermissions permissions, or Config.AdminDiscords.
#7. Place the laboratories
In game, as staff: /forensicgestion (Vision: also /gestion → Forensic science) → Laboratories page. As long as no point is placed, lab-restricted analyses are refused everywhere.
#8. Evidence lockers (outside Vision)
Define them in Config.EvidenceLockers (ox_inventory recommended). On Vision, they are placed in /gestion.
Config.EvidenceLockers = {
{ job = 'police', label = 'Evidence locker', coords = vec3(0.0, 0.0, 0.0), slots = 100, weight = 500 },
}#Check
- No red
