Installation
Install tc-mechanic step by step: resources, server.cfg, minimal configuration and creating workshop points.
#1. Copy the resource
Put the tc-mechanic folder in resources.
#2. Start in the right order
In server.cfg, after oxmysql, ox_lib, your framework and tc-ui:
ensure oxmysql
ensure ox_lib
ensure es_extended # or core / qb-core / qbx_core
ensure tc-ui
ensure tc-mechanicThe script must start after its framework: detection happens at load time.
#3. Database
Import sql/install.sql (recommended). The tc_mech_* tables are created at start-up anyway, with no risk of duplicates. The full SQL is on the Database page.
#4. Edit config.lua
Open config.lua and check at least:
| Option | Why |
|---|---|
Config.MechanicJobs | Mechanic job names, e.g. { 'mechanic', 'bennys' } |
Config.Bridge | Leave on auto |
Config.Vehicles | ESX / QBCore / Qbox: SQL table of your owned vehicles (table and column names) |
Config.Bridge.Society | ESX / QBCore / Qbox: society account that receives the money |
The full list is on the Configuration page.
#5. Create the workshop points
In game, as staff, type /mecagestion (on Vision, also in /gestion) and create the points for each workshop. Each point is created at your position or placed with the gizmo.
| Point type | For whom | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Customisation | Customer in the driver seat | Bodywork / interior / performance / lighting configurator |
| Paint booth | Customer driving, then mechanic | Colour and finish choice; the mechanic picks up the spray gun there |
| Wheels & tyres | Customer in the driver seat | Rims, tyres, smoke |
| Diagnostic | Mechanic | If a workshop has one, diagnostics must be done there |
| Parts stock | Mechanic | Pick up parts to fit |
#6. Check
Type /mecadiag (staff or console): the report shows the detected framework, billing mode and account, plus points, orders and tracked vehicles. Anything missing is flagged.
If your server already has a customisation system (Vision core, ESX/QB scripts), disable its “Custom” points in the workshops to avoid duplicates for players, then create the tc-mechanic points.
No item to create.
#Updating
Replace the folder while keeping your config.lua. Prices, durations, wear and permissions are stored in the database (tc_mech_settings), so they are preserved.
